About

A rental shop, and only a rental shop

We do not sell boards, so nobody at the counter is trying to.

What we are for

Resort rental desks are convenient and priced like it. Front Range shops are cheaper and mostly good, but the package you get depends on who is behind the counter at 7:45 on a Saturday. We wanted a shop where the board is always set up properly, the helmet is always in the bag, and the person handing it over will tell you the truth about the road and the snow.

So that is the shop. Three packages, priced by the day with the multi-day prices printed, bindings set at the counter to the rider in front of us, a helmet included with everything, and a set of mountain pages written from each resort's own numbers rather than from memory.

The story of who runs the shop, and how long they have been riding these mountains, goes here when the owner writes it.

How we work

Book online and the gear is held for you; you are fitted at pickup, not assigned from a list. Rentals are for lift-served riding at any Colorado resort. We do not guide, we do not run lessons, and we do not send anyone into the backcountry; the conditions page says where the avalanche forecast lives for the people who go anyway.

Prices are set against what other Front Range shops actually charge, checked before the season and written down. If you find the same package cheaper at an independent shop nearby, tell us; we would rather know.
