From the Front Range
Eldora's own pages put it 21 miles west of Boulder and 47 miles from Denver: west on Canyon Boulevard, which is Colorado 119, through Nederland. It is the one resort here you reach without touching I-70, and RTD's NB bus from Downtown Boulder Station stops at the Alpenglow lift.
The mountain
A Front Range local's hill rather than a destination: 680 acres between 9,200 and 10,600 feet, ten lifts including a high-speed six-pack, and seven Woodward terrain parks scattered across the mountain. Colorado Ski Country USA counts 61 trails; Eldora does not publish a terrain percentage breakdown, and its older pages quote 300 inches of average snowfall.

Season and hours
Eldora says it operates typically between November and April. The 2024-25 season closed on April 20, 2025; lifts run 9:00 to 4:00 on weekdays and 8:30 to 4:00 on weekends. The 2026-27 opening date had not been announced on eldora.com when we checked.
Rules worth knowing
- Metal edges are required on every ski and snowboard, children's included, and children must be wearing their board or skis on the lifts.
- Single-occupancy vehicles pay a parking fee on weekends, holiday periods, and weekdays with ten or more inches of new snow; there is no paid or reserved parking otherwise.
- Uphill access needs a pass ($99 for the season, free with an Eldora or Ikon pass) and uphill-specific equipment; the mountain is closed to all public access once the season ends.
Everywhere in Colorado, the Ski Safety Act and the Responsibility Code apply, including the rule that every board carries a leash or other retention device.
