From the Front Range
Copper is 75 miles west of Denver on I-70, exit 195, past the Eisenhower tunnel and Silverthorne. The whole drive is on the corridor covered by the winter traction law.
The mountain
Copper's terrain sorts itself by difficulty from east to west, which is the mountain's whole argument. The stats page gives a 9,712-foot base, a 12,441-foot summit, 2,738 feet of vertical, 2,538 acres, 157 marked trails (24 percent beginner, 26 intermediate, 32 advanced, 10 expert, 8 extreme), 24 lifts including a bubble six-pack and a gondola-chair combo, snowmaking on 379 acres, a longest run of 1.7 miles (Collage), and 299 inches of average snowfall. The same page's introduction still says 23 lifts and a 12,313-foot peak; the detailed table is the newer figure and the one we quote.
Parks
Woodward Copper runs the parks; the resort's page lists a superpipe from late November to April. Colorado Ski Country USA counts ten parks; Copper's own page does not give a number.
Season and hours
Center Village lifts run November to April, East Village late November to mid-April, and West Village mid-December to early April, by the resort's timeline. The 2025-26 season opened November 7, 2025; base-area lifts run 9:00 to 4:00 daily. The 2026-27 opening had not been announced when we checked.
