Echo is at 19285 CO-103 above Idaho Springs, 36 miles and about 50 minutes from downtown Denver by the mountain's own count and 20 minutes west of Evergreen. The resort asks you not to take a rideshare up; there is no way back down.
The mountain
The smallest mountain on this list and the only one with lights: a triple chair, two conveyors, seven runs from the Yard Sale beginner area through the Glades, and one terrain park. Echo describes itself as a mostly intermediate mountain. Colorado Ski Country USA gives 60 acres between 10,050 and 10,650 feet; Echo's own pages do not state elevation or acreage. Note the address: the domain older listings give, echomntn.com, is now a parking page; the live site is echomtn.com.

Season and hours
Opening is typically at the end of November or the beginning of December, with night skiing from about mid-December. Hours in 2025-26 were 10:00 to 5:00 Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 to 9:00 Wednesday to Friday, 9:00 to 9:00 Saturday, and 9:00 to 5:00 Sunday; night terrain is intermediate only. Lift tickets must be bought online by midnight the night before.
Rules worth knowing
- Season passes are not valid for uphill access.
- Night riding is Wednesday through Saturday, 4:30 to 9:00 pm, on intermediate terrain.
Everywhere in Colorado, the Ski Safety Act and the Responsibility Code apply, including the rule that every board carries a leash or other retention device.
