From the Front Range
Keystone is on US-6 east of Dillon, reached from I-70 at Silverthorne (exit 205) or over Loveland Pass. Vail Resorts calls it one of Denver's closest ski resorts; the mileage on the resort's own page is one of the numbers we could not read.
The mountain
Three peaks (Dercum Mountain, North Peak, the Outback) and five bowls (Bergman, Erickson, Independence, North, South) over more than 3,000 acres, by Vail Resorts' 2025-26 tip sheet, and the largest night-skiing area in Colorado by the company's annual report, which also describes replacing the Montezuma lift with high-speed six-passenger lifts. The figures that usually headline a resort page (a 9,280-foot base, a 12,408-foot summit, 3,128 feet of vertical, 20 lifts, 130 trails) appeared only in search snippets attributed to keystoneresort.com; the page itself would not load for us, so we do not vouch for them.
Read with care. Keystone's own website would not serve its mountain-info pages to us when we checked on 2026-09-01; the figures above come from Vail Resorts' newsroom and annual report, and the page names which numbers are search snippets only.
Parks
The A51 terrain park is Keystone's; we could not read its page, so we say nothing more about it here.
Season and hours
Vail Resorts' August 18, 2026 release targets an opening as early as possible in October for 2026-27, after a mid-October target in 2025-26.
Rules worth knowing
- The uphill policy, the terrain-park rules, and the mountain-info page could not be read from keystoneresort.com when we checked (the site serves an error page to anything that is not a browser). Read them on the resort's site before you go.
Everywhere in Colorado, the Ski Safety Act and the Responsibility Code apply, including the rule that every board carries a leash or other retention device.
